Kahle's IV Catheter Assembly System is an example of an integrated production approach to manufacturing, utilizing separate machines for sub components of the catheter and process operations. The line is integrated through the use of completely automated Rack and Conveyor systems to provide for inter-machine buffering. These transfer and buffer conveyors allow an operator to address a situation on one machine without shutting down the entire line, thus maximizing efficiency and product output.
Kahle has developed state-of-the-art high speed Catheter Tip Forming Technology. The IV Catheter line is capable of feeding, forming, and assembling components while inspecting for the required tolerance and quality of the product. A 100% inspected and guaranteed final product is transferred to a Packaging Machine without any operator intervention.
Every IV Catheter Assembly System designed by Kahle is tooled for a full range of gauges, which enables one system to assemble multiple IV Catheter sizes.
